TotalWeb FUSION's Emergency Notice
TotalWeb FUSION's main offices are located in Sarasota, Florida. Sarasota is located about 50 miles south of Tampa, Florida on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
As with any community located near the Gulf of Mexico or Atlantic Ocean, we must keep watch on any tropical activity. We all saw the destruction in parts of Florida in 2004 and more recently the devastation of New Orleans in 2005. To keep you informed with any business decisions we have to make in case of an emergency, we will keep you posted on all tropical activity that may effect our business offices in our news section (currently located on our home page).
Our safety is very important to us. TotalWeb FUSION has created an emergency response where we can easily evacuate, yet keep our business running at full speed. Our hosting servers are located in Dallas, Texas, offering complete redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and security. We are protected from flood with over 83,000 sq ft of raised floor. The facility sits atop multiple power grids driven by TXU electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual diesel generators onsite. Our HVAC systems are condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with ten managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 700 smoke detectors.
During the catastrophe of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, a datacenter located in New Orleans went through their complete emergency backup process. Although the service was at times "slower" (due to the re-routing of internet lines), the datacenter stayed fully operational. Our datacenter's emergency backup is even better than the example mentioned from New Orleans.
As mentioned before, TotalWeb FUSION values our safety. If needed, we will evacuate at a moments notice. Once we have safely evacuated, we will resume all business operations from our mobile offices. Some of our evacuation places include Northern Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Once we arrive at our evacuation place, we can operate at full capacity (web design, programming, maintenance work, and technical support).
If we do need to evacuate, we will post additional news items in our current news (located on our home page), and we may add additional pages with other information. If you have any additional questions, please contact us.
